An ideal hedgehog enclosure is a large, well-ventilated tank or cage with a solid floor to protect their feet. Include a hiding house for security, a wheel for exercise (with a solid surface to prevent injury), and a shallow dish for food. Use fleece liners or paper-based bedding for comfort and easy cleaning. Maintain the enclosure at a warm temperature (72-80°F) to prevent hibernation attempts, which can be dangerous.
